Hey guys! I know this blog is supposed to be about beauty … but today I wanted to share something a little different with you. Since we’re heading into cold and flu season I wanted to share a few tips with you that will hopefully help get you through any fall/winter illnesses and get you back to beautiful. 🙂

Always, always, always keep Vicks VapoRub on hand. I use this pretty much whenever I’m sick. Thing is, I don’t like to get it all over my skin, so what I do is I spread a thick layer out on a wash cloth and then lay the cloth over my chest. No mess and you can breath easier.

Also, make sure to put extra moisturizer on. Colds (and all the decongestants that we use along with them) really dry out your skin. Pay close attention to the area around your nose. It’s the first to go with all that wiping!

Vicks is a must for cold season… it’s a regular item in my home. Nothing’s worse than when little ones get a cold… they’re miserable. The Vicks Greaseless Cream is great for my 3.5 yr old son. It helps him breathe easier and calms his cough at night. My 7-month old caught his cold. I use Vicks Baby Rub (has aloe extract, eucalyptus oil, lavender oil, rosemary oil). She calms right away and it helps her sleep. Use saline nose drops and Puffs Tissue w/ lotion for wiping noses.
